Brewing chocolate is made from specially roasted whole cocoa beans ground coarse together with a husk for color and flavor. It can be mixed with coffee or loose tea such as Rooibos or enjoyed on its own. It has a lovely chocolate flavor and aroma, and it is rich in stimulating and mood-enhancing theobromine.
Brewing chocolate is a great alternative to coffee, and unlike caffeine, theobromine in cacao provides a slight stimulant effect.
It is easy to brew:
Steep 2 tbsp of ground cacao beans in cup in hot water for 5 minutes using an infuser, coffee maker or French press. Strain, add milk, cream, honey, sugar or cinnamon. Enjoy hot or cold.
